Recipe Boxes

So, I've been searching the Internet for local craft shows and have targeted the spring craft shows as my target. I haven't made up my mind of which one I will be attending. I know I will be targeting spring/Easter/mothers day attendees. I made this adorable Recipe box, isn't it darling? I love how it turned out. I found some recipe boxes that were in the dollar bin at Michael's. I could tell why they were in the bin because they were rather, well, should I just say.... ugly? I could see why no one would purchase them. I chose a patterned paper and picked 2 solid colors that blended will along with ribbon. I can't wait to see how they do at the craft show! I believe they will be one of my top sellers. I am half tempted to keep one myself and give my Mom one for Mothers Day also!

Thinking of You Card

I wanted to deliver a card to one of my Veterans that I help out. He's 93 years old and is a sweet as ever! I choose masque-line colors and still feel it is appropriate even though I added a flower to it. The Argyle paper set my color pattern and just added scraps on top to match.

Printing the Cricut Handbooks

I love to organize! I printed out the Cricut Handbooks for the cartridges I owned for my very own Cricut Binders. It makes it so much easier to just pull out my binder instead of pulling out each Cricut handbook out of each box. Several people have inquired how I printed the pages so I wanted to help others by writing up a quick tutorial that will help you print out the handbooks.

In order to begin, you will need the PDF document of the cartridge handbook you would like to print out. For this example, I am going to use the Alphalicious. You can go HERE to download the handbooks you need.

1. Open the Alphalicious PDF document. It will look like this:

2. For my binder, I only wanted to print the pages that illustrated the cuts, not the directions. What you need to do for each individual cartridge handbook is find out where the cut pages begin and end. For Alphalicious, it begins on page 24:

and ends on page 73:

Do not forget these two numbers as you will enter to enter them in the next few steps.

3. Click FILE and then PRINT. A new screen will open up. It should look like this:

4. Before you modify any categories, you need to change the the orientation of the paper. You need to click properties and change the orientation. I have to click FEATURES in my document properties but you might have to click around to find where you need to change yours.

5. You now need to return to the print menu. Follow these directions for modifying the settings :

If you did it correctly (and chose 6 sheets per page), it will look like mine!

Good luck printing them!

Thinking of You Card

It's a very cold day today and I just had to make a card with some flowers on it - Aaaah, a simple reminder that spring will come again. I pulled out striped papers and started matching my scraps to pull the colors from it. I knew I wanted flowers so I hesitated as I chose the colors from my Marcy markers. It turned out nice and cherry. Just think when someone opens and sees the card that they are instantly warmed with the bright colors. I hesitated when I bought such thick ribbon (1 1/2" thick) from the left over Christmas items I found at Target. This size looks pretty good. I found out that I like thicker ribbon on my items instead of the 1/8" and 1/4" ribbon.  If you look closely you can also see that I used my new cuttlebug and used the leaves on the pink background. Now...It will be ready for me to send out for that someone special, I think I will even put it on my shelf for me to enjoy for a few days!

Valentine Goodies

These Valentine mailboxes are just so darn adorable! I loved how they turned out and I can't wait to fill them with little candy heart and chocolate. I found them at target for only $1.00. I am hoping to find a craft show to display these cute little things. If not my husband works in a school and he'll take them there. I'm glad I can always count on my Etsy!

It was fun to make these lovable Valentine surprises that can be given to people of all ages.

My Craft Room

Hello! Welcome to my craft room. My little space is just that. My little space. I love spending time in a room that is just mine!

My husband made me these ribbon holders, I just love that I can choose what roll of ribbon I want and not have to waste ribbon by cutting off not enough or to much. I do not like those ribbon holders that hold the ribbon by sliding them on a pole/stick.
